CELEBRATING THE HEALTH RECORDS WEEK KADUNA CHAPTER:

The Association of Health Records Practitioners of Nigeria (AHRPN) Kaduna Chapter in Collaboration with HRORBN is glad to inform the general public of the upcoming Health Records Week coming up in September 2019. The event will be organized in collaboration with the Association and the North West Zonal Office of the HRORBN.

The Health Records Week is the first of its kind in the history of the profession and the special event is set aside to celebrate Health Records Practitioners for their dedication to patients and will be graced by the senior professionals and founding fathers of the profession.

Our source reliably gathered that the upcoming event will bring together all the professionals in Kaduna State and will be a three(3) days event starting with a road show on the First day, a quiz/debate will also take place on the second day and lastly a symposium will mark the end of the event.

The association is using this medium to call on the general public especially the professional to please take part in the event.

The Chairman of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (AUTH) branch of the Medical And Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), Comr. Steve Oricha, has said the N30,000 new minimum wage approved by the Federal Government will not change the lives of workers. Comr. Oricha, who spoke with our reporter in Gwagwalada yesterday, said although the implementation of the new minimum was a good thing, it would not help the workers. He said, “Personally, I don’t think government has done workers any favour by introducing the N30,000 minimum wage.” He said labour unions had demanded for N56,000 and that for government to agree to pay N30,000, according to him, would not address the welfare challenges of Nigerian workers.
